We Provide
Infomation
Firstly, for your assessment placement. you should bring with you any essential items needed for you and your child/children e.g. Baby bottles, sterilisers, baby baskets, clothing for both etc.. If you require transportation to Nurture please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements.
Upon arrival at the centre, we will first have a meeting with you to help you fully understand what to expect from the assessment and to set the objectives you will meet whilst staying with us. For many parents, this helps to establish clarity and remove some of the initial worries and concerns related to uncertainty. By discussing and understanding the aims and objectives, will help you to determine how these will be met.
Nurture Haven will provide you and your child/children a safe environment where we can support and advise you on achieving the set objectives. Our modern assessment centre allows you to care, play, bond and love your child/children. If at any time you have any questions, concerns or if you want to talk to us about anything regarding your stay or assessment please don’t hesitate to speak to anyone within the team.
Family Assessments
We provide residential assessments in Northampton, Northamptonshire within our spacious and lovely modern 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom townhouse for up to two families at any one time. Our assessments, which provide intensive care and support to safeguard at-risk children, on average run for a period of 12 weeks although programs can be tailored to be shorter or longer depending on specific needs.
Each family staying at our centre has a unique and specific program to care for their child or children. We value the integrity and individuality of our families and understand that one size does not fit all. Tailored support is available with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, attending meetings and other necessary parenting requirements. Our highly experienced social work team is available to support families 24-hours a day.
Facilities
Our residential family assessment offers parents their own room, own Bathroom and the cooking facilities and sensory room are shared. There is also a communal living room. Parents are expected to purchase their own food and prepare and cook meals for their families. The family has access to laundry facilities onsite at no charge.
